East Sussex - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U7521 Stonepark Drive, Forest Row) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Stonepark Drive – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 14 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill, Groombridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Cherry Gardens Hill – from the junction with B2188 Hendal Hill to the junction with U7844 Motts Mill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2188 Plumyfeather Lane, Lye Green Road, Church Hill, Black Hill – B2026 High Road, Chuck Hatch Road, Cotchford Hill, Jib Jacks Hill – B2110 High Street, Castlefields, Withyham Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 14 August 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
