What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
A516 DERBY ROAD/A5132 DERBY ROAD/WILLOWPIT LANE, HILTON TEMPORARY 30MPH/40MPH SPEED LIMITS

WHEN: 21:00 on 9 August to 04:00 on 10 August 2024.
WHERE: It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph and 40 mph, as follows:

A516 Derby Road, Hilton
It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40mph between a point 410m northeast of the Hilton Interchange (northern) roundabout, and a point 120m north-east of that roundabout, for a distance of 290m.

A516/A5132 Derby Road, Hilton
It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph, between a point 120m northeast of the Hilton Interchange (northern) roundabout on the A516, and a point 110m south-east of the Hilton
Interchange (southern) roundabout on the A5132, for a distance of 550m.

Willowpit Lane, Hilton
It will be necessary to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40mph, between its Jct. with the Hilton Interchange (northern) roundabout and a point 370m north of that roundabout.
REASON: To facilitate cyclic highway maintenance works.
The restriction will be in force for the time stated or until the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 30mph and 40 mph, as detailed.
