FOOTWAY CONVERSION TO A SHARED USE FOOTWAY / CYCLE TRACK

NOTICE is hereby given that Manchester City Council proposes to convert the following lengths of existing footway/ carriageway to cycle track use under section 66(4) and 65(1) of the Highways Act 1980.The footways/carriageways specified below will be converted to unsegregated cycle tracks for cyclists. The following sections of footway are to be converted to cycle tracks under Section 65(1) of the Highway Act 1980: Ludgate Hill, from Rochdale Rd to a point 14.5m south east of Baptist St. Rochdale Rd, south east side from 16m north east of Thompson St, to Thompson St. Rochdale Rd, south east side from 11m south west of Thompson St, to Thompson St. Rochdale Rd, south east side, from its junction with Bendix St in a south westerly direction for a distance of 18m. Thompson St, north east side, from Rochdale Rd to Cassidy Cl. Thompson St, north east side, from Cassidy Cl to Oldham Rd. Thompson St, south west side, from Rochdale Rd to Mason St. Thompson St, south west side, from Mason St to Cross Keys St. Thompson St, south west side from 31m north west of Oldham Rd, north westerly for 26m. Thompson St, south west side, from 70m north west of Oldham Rd to Oldham Rd. Oldham Rd, north west side, from Thompson St to Bendix St. Oldham Rd, north west side, from Bendix St to Marshall St. Oldham Rd, north west side, from Thompson St, north easterly for 138m. Oldham Rd, south east side, from 8m south west of Bengal St to Sherratt St, north east side, 20m south east of Oldham Rd. Oldham Rd, south east side, from Sherratt St to Cornell St. Copies of the proposals together with the plans showing the proposals may be inspected at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. If you are unable to attend in person, a copy of the plan may be requested (without payment) by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or writing to the address at the end of this notice Objections to the proposals must be sent to me in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov. uk or the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 30th August 2024.
