What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC139789340: The City of Manchester (Moor End, Northenden Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Moor End. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Palatine Road, Chapel Road, Longley Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate excavating and open cut in footway to repair electrical supply to street lamp and reinstatement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 20th August 2024 to the 26th August 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 20th August 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 9th August 2024.

MCC139785788: The City of Manchester (Bloom Street & Richmond Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting No Loading) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bloom Street from Chorlton Street to Minshull Street & on Richmond Street from Minshull Street to Chorlton Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Minshull Street, Major Street, Chorlton Street, Bloom Street & Chorlton Street, Whitworth Street, Aytoun Street, Minshull Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate development works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 21st August 2024 to 21st February 2026. The order shall come into operation on 21st August 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
