(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER (3) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council has made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway (“the roads”) in the County of Northumberland:
C405 Station Road from its junction with Palace Road heading southwest for a distance of 510 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via C404, B1331, A1147, C406 and vice versa.
C404 Ravensworth Terrace Station Street from its junction with Station Road heading northwards for a distance of 180 metres.
C404 Palace Road from its junction with Station Road heading southwards for a distance of 55 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via C404, A1147, B1331, C405 and vice versa.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th August 2024 until the 31st August 2025
It is expected that the works will be intermittent throughout the duration of the Order, the works will start initially on the 2nd September 2024 and run until the 5th September 2024 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00. The closure has been requested by Morgan Sindall because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads namely carriageway resurfacing and white lining works. To minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order, and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
