What is happening?
TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURE FOOTPATHS M309 AND M311
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the lengths of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).
The Order would come into operation at 00.01 on Monday 26th August 2024 and is required to enable the safe construction of a new housing development and realignment of the Public Right of Way. Closure times would be as signed on site.
The Order would remain valid for six (6) months.
Any alternative route for pedestrians would be signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) anyone in connection with the execution of the said works; and
(c) local pedestrian access

i) Public Right of Way/Footpath M309 – BENNETTS ROAD FROM PODDY COTTAGE TO FOOTPATH 9505273. and ii) Public Right of Way/Footpath M311 – THOMPSONS ROAD FROM OPPOSITE THE BARN TO FOOTPATH 9505273.
TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MANOR ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Manor Road.
The Order would come into effect from 19 August 2024 is required to road marking installation and associated works to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 23 August 2024.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Manor Road.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR EVENTS AT THE COVENTRY BUILDING SOCIETY ARENA) ORDER 2024/25
CBS Arena & Coventry Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along those lengths of road as set out in Schedule 1 below on the dates specified in Schedule 2 between the hours of 16:30 and 22:45.
The Order would come into effect at 21:00 on 16th August 2024 and is required to enable the safe access and egress from events and sporting fixtures at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
There may be events in addition to those listed in Schedule 2 or events which are rearranged once this Order is made. In such circumstances the road closures listed in Schedule 1 may be activated by signage on site.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closures would be sign posted on site. Pedestrian access to premises on the affected lengths of road would be maintained at all times.
Exemptions will be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an accredited traffic marshal;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles, when necessary, at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the events taking place.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SHORTLEY ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Shortley Road for its full length.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 27th August 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out permanent re-instatement of the Footway and Carriageway on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Newbold Close for its full length.
The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 27th August 2024 and is required to allow National Grid to install a new service connection on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 30th August 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ELD ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Eld Road between its junction with Station Street East and its junction with St Elizabeth Road.
The Order will come into effect from 08:00 hours on Monday 12th August 2024 and is required for facilitate communication pipe installation works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18:00 hours on Friday 23rd August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Doone Close for its entirety.
The Order will come into effect on 08:00 hours on Monday 12th August 2024 and is required to allow National Grid to install a new customer supply on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18.00 hours on Monday 12th August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Nunts Lane from its junction with Penny Park Lane to its junction with Meadow Road.
The Order will come into effect on 08:00 hours on Monday 12th August 2024 and is required to allow the installation of a Communications pipe to take place safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18.00 hours on Tuesday 20th August 2024.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Wallace Road commencing from its junction with Keresley Road and continuing to its junction with Dickens Road.
The Order will come into effect on 08:00 hours on Wednesday 14th August 2024 and is required to allow is required to allow the safe repair of a manhole cover and frame on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18.00 hours on Wednesday 14th August 2024.

The Order will come into effect on 08:00 hours on Wednesday 14th August 2024 and is required to allow the removal of poles and overhead lines to take place safely on the said road.
