What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF 400597 CHURCH STREET (MEYSEY HAMPTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400597 Church Street from its junction with High Street to its junction with Villars Farm, for a distance of approximately 33 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for sewer repair works. The road is expected to be closed from 27th August 2024 until the 9th September 2024 or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (FAIRFORD AND LECHLADE TOWNS) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close the roads as more particularly defined in the schedule below.

The reason for the closure is for works for historic railway estate bridge repairs. The roads are expected to be closed from the 26th August 2024 until the 7th October 2024 or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF 401737 BATHURST ROAD CIRENCESTER TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 401737 Bathurst Road from its junction with The Avenue to its junction with Chesterton Lane, for a distance of approximately 117 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for sewer repairs. The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 on 27th August 2024 or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH BLE40 AND BLE41 (LECHLADE TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, part of Public Footpaths BLE40 and BLE41 as described in the Schedule below.

Schedule

Public Footpath BLE 41 in The Town of Lechlade to be temporarily closed to users under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) from its junction with Public Footpath 151/10/1 (Oxfordshire) and from metres in a generally easterly and southerly direction for approximately 800 metres to its junction with Public Footpath BLE 27.

Public Footpath BLE 40 in the Town of Lechlade to be temporarily closed to users under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) from its junction with Road A417 and then extends in a generally easterly and southerly direction for approximately 53 metres to its junction with Public Footpath 151/10/8 (Oxfordshire).

The Public Footpaths fall within the Town of Lechlade in the Cotswold District, Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to bridge replacement works. The Public Footpaths were originally closed for 21 days by Emergency Notice commencing 18th July 2024. However, as the works to remedy the problem have still not been completed it is necessary to close the Public Footpaths by an Order which can authorise the closure for up to six months from the date of the emergency closure.

The Order will come into force on the 8th August 2024 and can remain in force for a period of not more than six months. However, if the works to remedy the problem have not been completed within six months, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension to the Order. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 409300 VILLAGE STREET (BIBURY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 409300 Village Street Road from its junction with Beeching Close to its junction with B4425, for a distance of approximately 140 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for the cutting down of a tree. The road is expected to be closed on 27th August 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 hours or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later.
