What is happening?

PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL

LONDON ROAD – TOWN BRIDGE PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that The Council of the City of Peterborough proposes to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, ‘the Act of 1984’, following consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police and all other enabling powers.

The order may be used to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding allowing the following roads (in any combination) at the end of a football match taking place at the Peterborough United Football Club, located on London Road: a)  Town Bridge as lies between Rivergate and Oundle Road

b)London Road as lies between Oundle Road and Glebe Road.

c) Egress from (and access to) Oundle Road, East Station Road and Hawksbill Way at their junctions with the above roads shall also be prohibited during this period.

The closure may be used for approximately 30 minutes following the end of any match taking place at the above ground.

If you have any comments on the proposed Order they must be submitted via e-mail to trafficregulation@peterborough.gov.uk or in writing to the undersigned by the closing date of 30th August 2024 clearly stating your reasons for objecting.
