What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREAT AMWELL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.035) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Great Amwell Public Footpath No.035 from its junction with St Johns Lane north eastwards to its junction with Great Amwell Public Footpath No.034, a distance of approximately 12m (“the Public Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of St Johns Lane and Great Amwell Public Footpath No.034.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN GREAT AMWELL, HERTFORD AND PUCKERIDGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of St Johns Lane, Great Amwell from its junction with Great Amwell Public Footpath No.035 north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Greencoates/Churchfields/The Gulphs, Hertford from its junction with Gwynns Walk south westwards, north westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 372m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of High Street, Puckeridge from its junction with Mentley Lane East south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 300m.

An alternative route will be via Buntingford Road, B1368 Buntingford Road, A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane) and Station Road.

4. that length of Lower Road, Great Amwell from its junction with A1170 Amwell Hill north eastwards, south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Cautherly Lane, a distance of approximately 700m.

An alternative route will be via A1170 (Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 Station Road and Amwell Lane.

5. that length of Sacombe Road, Hertford from its junction with Vicarage Lane south eastwards to its junction with The Orchard, a distance of approximately 660m.

An alternative route will be via Sacombe Road, Stony Hills, C16 (unnamed road), A602 Tonwell Bypass, B158 Wadesmill Road and Sacombe Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.239-261 HIGH STREET, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.239-261 High Street, Waltham Cross from its junction with Hedworth Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 90m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Hedworth Avenue, B176 High Street and the service road fronting Nos.239-261 High Street.

The Order is needed because gas connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C14 (UNNAMED ROAD)/ MOOR GREEN ROAD, ARDELEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C14 (unnamed road)/Moor Green Road, Ardeley from a point in line with the southern boundary of ‘Chapel Farm’ north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 2085m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), Mentley Lane, C16 Great Munden, Munden Road, Whempstead Lane, Whempstead Road, Town Lane, Church Green, Walkern Road, Benington Road, High Street, B1037 (High Street/White Hill), C14 (unnamed road) and Moor Green Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROUCH LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Little Hennons’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 175m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Rags Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS AND CYCLE TRACK IN WALTHAM CROSS DURING THE ‘EASTERN ELECTRICS MUSIC FESTIVAL’) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and cycle track (“the Cycle Track”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads:-

a) that length of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A121 Highbridge Street, a distance of approximately 1222m.

An alternative route will be via A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A110 (Nags Head Road/Lea Valley Road), A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Highbridge Street).

b) that length of Trust Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with York Road south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Station Approach, a distance of approximately 133m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

c) that length of Station Approach, Waltham Cross from its junctions with A121 Eleanor Cross Road southwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Trust Road, a distance of approximately 171m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

d) that length of Lea Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 422m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

e) that length of Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A121 Eleanor Cross Road, a distance of approximately 819m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

f) that length of Queens Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards to its junction with Berwick Close, a distance of approximately 195m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

2. To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the north side of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with York Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cheshunt Public Footpath No.055, a distance of approximately 1182m.

Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 20mph on that length of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A121 Highbridge Street, a distance of approximately 1222m, when signs are in place.

4. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of the following lengths of Roads for the duration of the event:-

a) that length of Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A121 Eleanor Cross Road, a distance of approximately 819m.

b) that length of Queens Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards to its junction with Berwick Close, a distance of approximately 195m.

5. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Lea Road into A121 Station Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road).

6. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Queens Drive into A121 Station Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road).

7. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the westbound carriageway of A121 Station Road into the access road leading to ‘Lea Valley White Water Centre’, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout and A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road).

8. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from Bryanstone Road into A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.

An alternative route will be via A121 Eleanor Cross Road, A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road).

9. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from Eleanor Way into A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.

An alternative route will be via A121 Eleanor Cross Road, A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road).

The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent traffic congestion for the duration of ‘Eastern Electrics Music Festival’.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1004 WARE ROAD, WARESIDE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1004 Ware Road, Wareside from a point 80 metres north east of its junction with Wareside Restricted Byway No.025 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 160m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road/London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 (Station Road/High Street/Roydon Road), B180 (Hunsdon Road/Stanstead Road/High Street/Widford Road/Hunsdon Road) and B1004 Ware Road.

The Order is needed because the removal of trees is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHURCHGATE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Churchgate, Cheshunt from its junction with B156 Goffs Lane south eastwards to its junction with Dewhurst Road, a distance of approximately 117m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B156 Goffs Lane, B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 Great Cambridge, College Road and Churchgate.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. the B195 Birchall Lane slip road leading onto A414 Cole Green Bypass, Cole Green from its junction with the eastbound carriageway of B195 Birchall Lane south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A414 Cole Green Bypass, a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via B195 (Birchall Lane/Cole Green Lane/Black Fan Road), A1000 Mundells, B1000 (Waterside/Hertford Road/Welwyn Road), Thieves Lane South and A414 Cole Green Bypass.

2. that length of B195 Birchall Lane, Cole Green from its junction with the A414 Cole Green Bypass roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 58m.

An alternative route will be via A414 Cole Green Bypass, Thieves Lane South, B1000 (Welwyn Road/Hertford Road/Waterside), A1000 Mundells and B195 (Black Fan Road/Cole Green Lane/Birchall Lane).

3. that length of Birchall Lane, Cole Green from its junction with the A414 Cole Green Bypass roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road), the B1455 Holwell Lane roundabout, A414 (Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass), Hertingfordbury Road, The Old Coach Road and Birchall Lane.

4. the A414 Cole Green Bypass/B195 Birchall Lane roundabout, Hertford from its northernmost junction with the northbound carriageway of A414 Cole Green Bypass clockwise to its northernmost junction with the southbound carriageway of A414 Cole Green Bypass, a distance of approximately 37m.

An alternative route will be via A414 Cole Green Bypass, the Thieves Lane South roundabout and A414 Cole Green Bypass.

5. the A414 Cole Green Bypass/B195 Birchall Lane roundabout, Hertford from its southernmost junction with the southbound carriageway of A414 Cole Green Bypass clockwise to its southernmost junction with the northbound carriageway of A414 Cole Green Bypass, a distance of approximately 32m.

An alternative route will be via A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road), the B1455 Holwell Lane roundabout and A414 (Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Road, High Cross from its junction with Pest House Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 22m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via High Road, Ermine Street, A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road), A1170 Wadesmill Road, Cambridge Road and High Road or via High Road, Cambridge Road, A10 Wadesmill Bypass, Ermine Street and High Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and footway (“the Footways”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

a) that length of A121 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Winston Churchill Way/B176 High Street roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A121 Eleanor Cross Way/Queens Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 465m.

An alternative route will be via A121 Winston Churchill Way, A10 Great Cambridge Road, A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/High Street/Monarchs Way).

b) that length of Stanhope Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Monarchs Way north eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 72m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

c) that length of Park Lane, Waltham Cross from its junction with Sturlas Way south eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 77m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

d) that length of High Street, Waltham Cross from its junction with Eleanor Cross Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with A121 Monarchs Way, a distance of approximately 275m.

An alternative route will be via Eleanor Cross Road and A121 Monarchs Way.

e) that length of Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Eleanor Cross Way/Queens Road roundabout south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 260m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A121 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Winston Churchill Way/B176 High Street roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A121 Eleanor Cross Way/Queens Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 465m, when signs are in place.

3. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footway:-

a) the footway situated on the north side of A121 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with Swanfield Road south eastwards to its junction with Queens Road, a distance of approximately 458m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Swanfield Road, the footway situated on the west side of Eastern Drive, the footway situated on the west side of Railway Road, the footway situated on the north side of King Edward Road, the footway situated on the west side of York Road and the footway situated on the north side of Queens Road.

b) the footway situated on the south side of A121 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Winston Churchill Way/B176 High Street roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A121 Eleanor Cross Way/Queens Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 433m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Sturlas Way, the footway situated on the north side of Park Lane, the footway situated on the east side of High Street and the footway situated on the north side of Eleanor Cross Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads and Footways.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads and Footways.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mangrove Road, Hertford from its junction with Hagsdell Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 160m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Mangrove Road, A414 London Road, B1197 (London Road/Hertford Road), A1170 Amwell Street, Amwell Street, Pauls Lane, Taverners Way, Lord Street, Goose Green Lord Street, Mangrove Lane and Mangrove Road.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GODFRIES CLOSE, TEWIN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Godfries Close, Tewin from its junction with Upper Green Road eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
