TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH CHESHUNT 14 (EXTENSION NOTICE)
NOTICE is given that an extension of 18 months has been granted to an Order made by Broxbourne Borough Council under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using the length of footpath Cheshunt 14 from Great Cambridge Road westwards through Theobalds Park Farm and then southwestwards to the New River, for an approximate distance of 780 metres.
Footpath Cheshunt 14 will remain closed until 12 February 2026, when signs are in place.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be via the eastern boundary of Theobalds Park Farm (heading generally south-westwards), then north-westwards as far as the New River and the junction with Cheshunt Footpath 13.
The purpose of the Order is to extend the closure which has been in place since 15 August 2022 to prevent public access between derelict farm buildings and allow construction of Park Plaza West.
