ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 THE CAUSEWAY, CARLTON 24 – 059

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of The Causeway Carlton.

This temporary road closure is required for the installation of drainage for new housing development and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 19th August 2024 to 23rd August 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bridgend, The Moor, High Street.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 19th August 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 OAKLEY ROAD, CLAPHAM 24 – 061

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Oakley Road Clapham outside 23.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 28th August 2024 to 30th August 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Oakley Road, Lovell Road, Station Road, Highfield Road, Milton Road.

The reverse route applies.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 PODINGTON ROAD, WYMINGTON 24 – 048

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Podington Road Wymington approx 10 m either side of the railway bridge This temporary road closure is required to facilitate removal of equipment from the bridge and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 22:00 to 06:00 hours from 20th August 2024 to 21st August 2024

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along those lengths of various roads as detailed below.

These temporary road closures are required to facilitate high friction surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024 THE EMBANKMENT, BEDFORD 2024 - 061

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along that length of The Embankment, Bedford from Bushmead Avenue to Newnham Avenue. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the Bedford Running Festival and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is expected to be in operation between 07:00 to 16:00 hours from 7th September 2024 to 8th September 2024

The alternative routes available for vehicles affected by the proposed Order are:- Bushmead Avenue, Castle Road, Newnham Avenue.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a pole replacement and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14(1) BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL (CARDINGTON: BRIDLEWAY NO 2 AND COPLE BRIDLEWAY NO 14) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on horseback or lead a horse along Cardington Bridleway No 2 and Cople Bridleway No 14, which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference OS GR TL 1057 4711 to OS GR TL 1120 4535.

This closure is required due to holes in the surface of the bridleway caused by animals. The closure follows an emergency made on the 18th July 2024 and will continue from Friday 9th August 2024 for a period of six months.

There is no alternate route for users while the closure is in place.

The Order will come into operation on 9th August 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the bridleways have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
