Oldfield Lane, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Bridge Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OLDFIELD LANE, OLDFIELD, KEIGHLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of bridge works proposed to be executed on or near Oldfield Lane, Oldfield, Keighley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Oldfield Lane to a point outside Oldfield Primary School to a point outside Oldfield Primary school.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Oldfield Lane (unaffected section), Harehills Lane, Dean Edge Road, Cragg Bottom Road, New Laithe Road, Scar Top Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 19th August 2024 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 30th August 2024 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
