TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below to control traffic.
1. WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:
• Bedford Road South - road closed to all vehicles from its south-western junction with Ringwood Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/ unloading at any time.
• The one-way Traffic Order to be temporarily revoked on Bedford Road South to allow for two-way movement into and out of the north-easterly junction onto Ringwood Road. No parking, no waiting, no loading/ unloading at any time.
Anticipated dates: from Tuesday 27 August 2024 to approximately Monday 23 February 2026
DIVERSION: via northern side of Bedford Road South

2. WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:
• Ringwood Road - no right turn into Sea View Road for vehicles travelling northbound from Ringwood Road.
• Sea View Road - no exit from Sea View Road for vehicles travelling northbound onto Ringwood Road.
• Cranbrook Road and Cynthia Road - parking suspension - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading to aid bus diversion route.
Anticipated dates: from Monday 2 September 2024 to approximately Wednesday 19 February 2025.
DIVERSIONS:
• Remainder of Ringwood Road, Mountbatten Roundabout, Wallisdown Road, Alder Road, Ashley Road.
• Remainder of Sea view Road, Ashley Road, Alder Road, Wallisdown Road, Mountbatten Roundabout, Ringwood Road.

3. WHERE & WHAT (two phased overnight road closures): Ringwood Road - road closed to all vehicles between Alderney Roundabout and Mountbatten Roundabout - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading at any time.
WHEN:
• Monday 9 September 2024 from 22:00 until 06:00 for northbound vehicles
• Tuesday 10 September 2024 from 22:00 until 06:00 for southbound vehicles
DIVERSION: Via Ringwood Road, Sea View Road, Ashley Road, Alder Road, Wallisdown Road

ACCESS: Full Emergency access will be maintained.
WHY: These works are part of the project to undertake highway improvement works on Ringwood Road on behalf of BCP Council.
These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this Traffic Order.
