What is happening?


SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL

(BUS PRIORITY) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 1991
(AMENDMENT NO.80) ORDER 2023

SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CENTRAL AREA)
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PRESCRIBED TURNS
AND PROHIBITED TURNS) ORDER 1992
(AMENDMENT NO. 27) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 8 August 2024 Sheffield City Council made the above Orders which comes into operation on 12 August 2024 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce:
Bus Gates – At all times on parts of Arundel Gate and Furnival Gate;
Prescribed right-hand turn on St. Pauls Place Service Road;
Prohibited right-hand turn on part of Arundel Gate;

And remove:

Prescribed left turn on part of Town Hall/Novotel Car Park Egress.

A copy of the Order may be examined during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH or within the Sealed Traffic Orders section on the Council website at
https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/roads-pavements/traffic-orders

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 12 August 2024 make application for that purpose to the High Court.
