What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length
of St Vincent Avenue in the City of Doncaster District as
described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to footway improvements are
undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via St Vincent Avenue, St Vincent
Road, Broxholme Lane, Thorne Road. Those residents and
businesses directly affected by the works are to be notified of
the scheme to include access arrangements.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed
by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being
issued and the subsequent removal of a vehicle.

Road for a distance of 55 meters in a northerly direction.
Dates and Times
08:00hrs 19th August 2024 until 15:30hrs 23rd August 2024.
The road will reopen daily.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2024.

Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle/pedestrian from proceeding in
that section of road that comprises of the railway level
crossing area on Kirton Lane at Thorne in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst drainage works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles/
pedestrians affected by the Order is via Kirton Lane, Thorne
Road, Field Road (Silver Street), Church Road, Station Road,
High Street, A1146 Thorne Road, Hatfield Road, A614 Hatfield
Road and vice versa.

BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length
of Rotherham Road at Tickhill in the City of Doncaster District
and introduce a 30mph speed limit as described in the
Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in
the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to resurface the carriageway are
undertaken. A temporary 30 mph speed limit along the route
at all times for the safety of road users due to the possibility
of lowered skid resistance.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via the A60 Worksop Road, Malpas
Hill, A634 Doncaster Road, Maltby Road, Blyth Road, B6427
Muglet Lane, A631 Tickhill Road and vice versa. Those
residents and businesses directly affected by the works will
be notified of the scheme and access arrangements.

are undertaken.

TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
EXTENSION NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the above named Order made by
City of Doncaster Council on the 17th day of August 2023
which came into force on the 19th day of August 2023 and
extended until the 18th day of August 2024 has been
continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State
for Transport under section 15(3) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 up to and including the

18th day of February 2025. The Order would otherwise have
expired on the 18th day of August 2024.
The Order was made to ensure the safety of the public and
the workforce whilst work is undertaken to allow for a
temporary construction access to a residential development
Reason for the extension of the temporary order is that there
was a delay in obtaining the technical approvals for the
scheme, work commenced on site late and is not yet
complete. The restriction is needed to allow completion of the
work.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for
footpassengers affected by the Order is by way of a signed
diversion.

On the 7th day of August 2024, City of Doncaster Council
confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the
Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public
footpath (1) running from grid reference SK 6181 9664
southwards along the field edge thence south-westwards
across the field to grid reference SK 6155 9651 to a line
running from grid reference SK 6181 9664 westwards along a
track thence southwards along the track to grid reference SK
6155 9651; and (2) running from grid reference SK 6139
9642 south-westwards to the eastern side of the footbridge at
grid reference SK 6130 9637 to a line running from grid
reference SK 6139 9642 generally south-westwards to the
eastern side of the footbridge at grid reference SK 6130 9637
as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have
been placed and may be seen free of charge at City of
Doncaster Council, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1
3BU, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays.
Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price
of £10.00. A copy of the order and map may be viewed on

The order comes into force on the 7th August 2024, but if any
person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or
that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is
not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended,
or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as
amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not
been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may
under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by
paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the
8th day of August 2024, make an application to the High
