TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A6175 MARKET STREET, CLAY CROSS

WHEN: 26 August to 31 August 2024 (18:30 to 04:00 each night)
WHERE: A6175 Market Street, Clay Cross between its Jct. with Howe Grove to its Jct. with St Lawrence Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A6175 Market Street (from point of closure), Furnace Hill Road, Bridge Street, Harris Way, A61 High Street / Derby Road, Queen Victoria Road, Hagg Hill, B6038 North Wingfield Road / Chesterfield Road / The Green, A6175 St Lawrence
Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
