U3124 THE CORDWAINERS FOOTPATH, ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U3124 the Cordwainers footpath from a point at the front of no. 7 Cordwainers heading northwards and then westwards for a distance of 50 metres and the U3124 the Cordwainers footpath from a point at the gable end of no. 20 Cordwainers heading northwards and then eastwards for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th August 2024 until the 15th November 2024.
It is expected that the footpath will only be closed from the 27th August 2024 until the 30th August 2024 between the hours of 8:00 and 18:00 during this period. However the order will remain in place until the 15th November 2024.
There is no alternative route for pedestrian traffic.

The closure has been requested by Avonline Networks Road Closure, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads namely to excavate a trench and install micro-duct for installation of network fibre. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
