Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on 08 August 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends to make the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CROWNHILL ROUNDABOUT (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2003)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow MBNL to install new telecommunications equipment.
Crownhill Roundabout – between the points on its south-eastern island (preventing traffic from travelling east to west on Dansteed Way.
Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Watling Street (on the southbound carriageway), Loughton Roundabout and Watling Street (on the northbound carriageway).
The above closure will be in effect between 19th August and 22nd August 2024 (09:30am to 3:30pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WOLVERTON ROAD, GIFFARD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2031)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Creation of new bell mouth and traffic island as well as new electrical supply to new care home.
Wolverton Road, Giffard Park – Between Brickhill Street and Broadway Avenue.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Monks Way and Saxon Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 19th August and 13th September 2024 (24 hours of every day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MALLOW GATE, CONNIBURROW) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2004)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable THREE to carry out Telecoms maintenance / upgrades on a telecoms pole.
Mallow Gate, Conniburrow – From its junction with Portway to its junction with Cleavers Avenue.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Mallow Gate, Conniburrow Boulevard, Marlborough Street, Dansteed Way, Saxon Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect on 19th August 2024 (09:30 – 16:30) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MELROSE AVENUE (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2014)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow National Grid to undertake a road crossing for a new cable.
Melrose Avenue – from its junction with Whaddon Way to its junction with Dorchester Avenue.
Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Whaddon Way and Dorchester Avenue (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 21st and 30th August 2024 (24 hours of every day) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 6th August 2024 made the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BEACHAMPTON ROAD AND CALVERTON ROAD (PARTS), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2027)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to allow Openreach to carry out works to install a new duct in the carriageway:
Beachampton Road, Stony Stratford – from its junction with Passenham Lane to its junction with Calverton Road.
Calverton Road, Stony Stratford – from its junction with Milford Avenue for 230 metres in south westerly direction.
Whilst the closures are in place the alternative route for Beachampton Road will be via either Main Street, Stratford Road, Whaddon Road and Stratford Road or Main Street, Thornton Road, Ouse Valley Way, A422, London Road, Queen Eleanor Street.
The alternative route for Calverton Road will be via Middle Weald, Upper Weald, Calverton Lane, Watling Street, London Road and Horsefair Green (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 12th August and 23rd August 2024 (09:30am to 4:30pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ROWDITCH FURLONG, REDHOUSE PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2028)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow National Grid to complete road crossing for the install of new high voltage electricity cables:
Rowditch Furlong, Redhouse Park – From its junction with Wolverton Road to its junction with Top Fox Way.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via the Rowditch Furlong, Top Fair Furlong, Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 12th August and 16th August 2024 (24 hours of every day).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WINDSOR STREET (PART), WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-2035)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow Anglian Water to undertake works for a new supply connection:
Windsor Street, Wolverton – (its service road) between the rear of number 130 to the rear of number 136.
Whilst the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Western Road, Windsor Street and Furze Way (and vice versa).
The above closure will be in effect between 13th and 15th August 2024 (24 hours of every day)

Public Notice for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on 08 August 2024:
PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BLEAK HALL, MILTON KEYNES) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 06 August 2024 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (reference: TRO-410).
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce no waiting at time restrictions along parts of Chesney Wold and Summerson Road in Bleak Hall.
The made Order will take effect on 09 July 2024.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
