What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(CORBETT STREET, ABOUKIR STREET, GEORGE STREET AND MEDLEY STREET, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and from waiting at any time along;
i) Corbett Street, for its entire length,
ii) Aboukir Street, for its entire length,
iii) George Street, for its entire length,
iv) Medley Street, for its entire length
The Order is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours until 18.00 hours each day from the 16th August 2024 until 18th September 2024 as required.
Alternative routes for vehicles will be signed on street when the closure is in operation.
(KINGS GROVE, QUEENS AVENUE AND HEATH ROAD, WARDLE AND BROOKFIELD DRIVE, WEST LITTLEBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time on:
i) Kings Grove, for its entire length.
ii) Queens Avenue, for its entire length.
iii) Heath Road, for its entire length.
iv) Brookfield Drive, for its entire length.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day from the 27th August 2024 until the 17th September 2024 as and when required.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on street when the closure is in operation.
Pedestrian access will not be affected.
(WOOD BANK ROAD, MILBURY DRIVE, RAKEWOOD ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time on:
i) Wood Bank Road, for its entire length.
ii) Milbury Drive, for its entire length.
iii) Rakewood Road from its junction with Bear Hill to a point 210 metres in a north westerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day from the 28th August 2024 until the 18th September 2024 as and when required.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on street when the closure is in operation.
Pedestrian access will not be affected.
(STEPS MEADOW AND BELLSHILL CRESCENT, SMALLBRIDGE & FIRGROVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time on:
i) Steps Meadow, for its entire length.
ii) Bellshill Crescent from its junction with Albert Royds Street to a point 50 metres in a north easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe resurfacing of the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours each day from the 27th August 2024 until the 17th September 2024 as and when required.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on street when the closure is in operation.
Pedestrian access will not be affected.
(VAVASOUR WALK, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from proceeding along Vavasour Walk, Rochdale, for its entire length.
The Order is required to facilitate the gas mains replacement works.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours on the 28th August 2024 until 18:00 hours on the 27th September 2024.
(FEEL GOOD FESTIVAL, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES, TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING, TAXI RANK AND DISABLED PARKING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to:-
(a) Temporarily Prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
i) Newgate from its junction with St Mary’s Gate to its junction with South Parade.
ii) South Parade from its junction with Newgate to its junction with The Butts.
iii) The Butts for its entire length.
iv) The Esplanade for its entire length
v) Packer Street for its entire length.
vi) Town Hall Square for its entire length.
vii) Fleece Street from its junction with King Street
(b) Temporary prohibition of vehicles will be operative on:-
i) Newgate, South Parade, The Butts & The Esplanade from 18:00 hours on the 10th August 2024 until 01:59 hours 11th August 2024 or until it is safe to do so whichever is the soonest.
ii) Packer Street, Town Hall Square & Fleece Street from 00:01 hours on the 9th August until 18:00 hours on the 12th August or until it is safe to do so whichever is the soonest.
(c) Temporarily introduce no waiting any time and no loading at any time along the following lengths of road:-
i) Both sides of Newgate from its junction with St Mary’s Gate to its junction with South Parade.
ii) South side of South Parade from its junction with Newgate to its junction with The Butts.
iii) The Butts for its entire length.
iv) The Esplanade for its entire length.
v) Both sides of Fleece Street from its junction with King Street.
vi) South side of Nelson Street from its junction with Church Street to
its junction with the Town Hall.
vii) The westerly side of King Street from its junction with Fleece Street to its junction with Nelson Street.
(d) Temporary prohibition of no waiting or loading at any time will be operative on:-
i) Newgate will be operative from 17:30 hours until 23:59 hours on the 10th August 2024
ii) South Parade, The Butts & The Esplanade from 18:00 hours until 23:59 hours on 10th August 2024.
iii) Fleece Street from 00:01 hours on the 9th August until 08:00 hours on the 10th August
iv) Nelson Street & King Street from 00:01 hours on the 9th August until 18:00 hours on the 12th August or until it is safe to do so whichever is the soonest.
(e) Suspend those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008 along those sections of Highway specified in the temporary prohibition of waiting at any time in this order in that taxi ranks and disabled bays will not be operative.
In the event of an emergency the prohibition of vehicles may be implemented at any time between 12:00 hours and 23:59 hours for safety reasons.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Feel Good Festival 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on street when closures are in place.
(BENTINCK STREET, ROCHDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bentinck Street from its junction with Rooley Moor Road for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of telecoms ducting.
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on 12th August 2024 until 16.00 hours on 16th August 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Bentinck Street, Thrush Street, Beaufort Street, Rooley Moor Road and vice versa.
