What is happening?

(Chapel Road, Oldbury-on-Severn) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Chapel Road which extends from The Naite westwards for 416m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 12 August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Chapel Road (parts unaffected), Church Road, Kington Lane, Castle Street, Gloucester Road, Butt Lane, Oldbury Lane, Pickedmoor Lane and vice versa
(Coxgrove Hill, Pucklechurch) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Coxgrove Hill which extends from a point 250m south east of Grove Paddock south eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon stop tap replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 12 August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Coxgrove Hill, Parkfield Road, B4465 Westerleigh Road, Westerleigh Road and vice versa
(Rockside Avenue, Downend) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Rockside Avenue which extends from a point 60m south east of Bridgeleap Road to Rockside Gardens. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon lead replacement works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order will be operative from 4 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Bridgeleap Road, Leap Valley Crescent and vice versa
(New Pit Lane, Bitton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of New Pit Lane which extends from a point 150m north west of Golden Valley Lane north westwards for 450m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with cabling works. The order will be operative from 2 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Beach Hill, Beach Lane, Golden Valley Lane and vice versa
(Trench Lane, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Trench Lane which extends from Old Gloucester Road north westwards for 850m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon water main renovation works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 2 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 weeks duration. Alternative route: Old Gloucester Road, B4057, Bradley Stoke Way, Bowsland Way, Trench Lane and vice versa
(High Street, Marshfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of High Street which extends from George Lane to St Martins Lane. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order will be operative from 2 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days duration. Alternative route: High Street, Hay Street, Tormarton Road, A420, George Lane and vice versa
(Eggshill Lane, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and b) suspend, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the one way traffic working, to any vehicle proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new gas service works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 2 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration.
