(B5345 MAIN STREET, ST BEES LEVEL CROSSING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing inspection works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e., vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the B5345 Main Street, St Bees, from its junction with Station Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 60m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the B5345, A5094 and A595 Egremont and Thornhill.

The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days between 2140 and 0615 hours and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
