NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION

ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Clevedon Road, Bristol Road, Flax Bourton,

Wraxall, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 22 September 2024 -

Ref: SW24.25-144

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to test poles. This will become operative on the 22 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Clevedon Road, Flax Bourton, and Bristol Road, Wraxall on B3130 near properties Bankside to Victoria Cottages.

West Hay Road, Wrington, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 25 September 2024

Ref: SW24.25-147

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access pole for new fibre cable. This will become operative on the 25 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 25 September 2024

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access joint boxes. This will become operative on the 25 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 7pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 23 September 2024

Ref: SW24.25-173

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Highways for electrical cabling works on National Highway network. This will become operative on the 23 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 nights in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION

ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Weston Road, Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 19 August 2024 -

Ref: SW24.25-084

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to excavate and lay 105m of new main. This will become operative on the 19 August 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration with temporary traffic lights to follow. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Weston Road, Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction Order 2024

Date coming into force: 26 August 2024 -

Ref: SW24.25-112

Will be to temporarily restrict vehicles to 30mph in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public and contractor's consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd for bank clearing and stabilisation works. This will become operative on the 26 August 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the speed restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 9 months in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath LA1/7/40, (A369) Martcombe Road, Abbots Leigh,

Easton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians),

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles),

(Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction)

Order 2024

Date coming into force: 26 August 2024 -

Ref: SW24.25-127

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads and to restrict temporarily to pedestrians the footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions for all restrictions are included for emergency services. Exemptions for the Footpath closure prohibition of pedestrians are for works access and North Somerset Council enforcement officers. Exemptions for the prohibition of vehicles are for works access, works vehicles and North Somerset Council enforcement vehicles.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Dunamis to facilitate a new 11kv cable. This will become operative on the 26 August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the phased works which is anticipated to be of approximately 11 weeks in duration with dates subject to weather permitting and the progression of the works. Appropriate traffic and pedestrian signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Phase 1 for 5 days anticipated to commence 26 August 2024 - Footpath LA1/7/40, Abbots Leigh (Gordano Round) north-east of Haberfield Park Farm for approximately 6m with diversion to run parallel in the field. Phase 2 for approximately 10 weeks anticipated to commence 9 September 2024 - (A369) Martcombe Road, Easton-in-Gordano the westbound layby closure 160m east of Sunnyside Farm full extent of layby only to prohibit vehicles and a 40mph Speed restriction on (A369) Martcombe Road from 25m east of property The Crest for 815m to outside Martcombe Service Station as signs dictate.
