THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(SPRING ROAD, MARKET WEIGHTON
(PART)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along part of Spring Road,
Market Weighton for the first section between The
Green and Hill Crest and the second section between
Red Lane and road from Goodmanham to Spring Road.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway resurfacing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 1 September 2024.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via:
First section - Hill Rise and Finkle Street.
Second section - road from Goodmanham to Spring
Road, Main Street, Goodmanham Road and Red Lane.
The road will be open at all times for vehicular access
to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services up to the point of closure, but not
through it, except for pedestrians.
The Order will commence 5 August 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
