What is happening?

(WHITTINGHAM LANE, GRIMSARGH, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
(TEMPORARY AMENDMENT) ORDER 2024

The Lancashire County Council (“the County Council”) in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, (the Act), and of all other enabling powers, HEREBY makes the following Order: -
The Lancashire County Council (WHITTINGHAM LANE, GRIMSARGH, PRESTON CITY)(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2024, is hereby temporarily Amended in that:
i. To Add Article 6 as follows:
6. An alternative route for large vehicles and HGVs affected by the closure is via:-
Haighton Green Lane – Durton Lane – Eastway – Wating Street Road – Gamull Lane - Longridge Road - Preston Road
This Temporary Amendment Order shall come into operation on 10th July 2024 and may be cited as “The Lancashire County Council (WHITTINGHAM LANE, GRIMSARGH, PRESTON CITY) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2024 (Temporary Amendment) Order 2024”
