Coldwold, Warter - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC COLDWOLD,
WARTER AND CATTLE HILL,
NUNBURNHOLME

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the
entire length of both Coldwold, Warter and Cattle Hill,
Nunburnholme commencing 30 August 2024 between
the hours of 08.00 until 16.00 for the purposes of
tree trimming/felling to achieve a safe clearance from
the overhead high and low voltage electricity supply
network. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within eight hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Baggaby Hill, Inrea Hill, Westbeck
Hill, Main Street, Butt Lane, Roman Road,
Nunburnholme CP, Warter CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic,
but access will be maintained at all times for residents,
emergency services and pedestrians.
