What is happening?
VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY (COMMUNITY EVENTS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 3) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place.
Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the events mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the schedule below.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
This order will come into force on Saturday, 31 August 2024 and will cease to have effect on Monday, 11 November 2024. The order will only be effective only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Road closures and traffic restrictions
High Street Chatham from its eastern junction with Waterfront Way to its junction with The Brook, to include the junctions with Clover Street, Batchelor Street and Church Street – to include suspension of one-way operation for authorised vehicles.
Church Street from its junction of High Street to its junction with Rhodes Street, to include its junction with Whittaker Street – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.
Batchelor Street from its junction of High Street to its junction with Solomons Road – to include suspension of no entry for authorised vehicles.
Clover Street from its junction of Richard Street to its junction with High Street – to include suspension of no entry for authorised vehicles.
Military Road from its junction of High Street to its junction with Dock Road, to include its junction with Waterfront Way/Globe Lane - to include suspension of one-way operation for authorised vehicles.
Railway Street from its junction of High Street to its junction with Best Street.

High Street Gillingham from its eastern junction of Skinner Street to its junction with King Street, to include suspension of one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.
James Street from 55m south of its junction of Jeffery Street to its junction with High Street, to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.
Green Street from 13m north of its junction of Theodore Place to its junction with High Street, to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.

Schedule B24-3: Road closures and traffic restrictions
Castle Hill from its junction of Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court – to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access.
Epaul Lane from its junction of Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access.
High Street Rochester from its junction of Corporation Street bus lane to its junction with Star Hill – to include suspension of one-way operation for authorised vehicles only.

GRAIN ROAD AND CHAPEL ROAD, GRAIN
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing to be carried out -
Grain Road and Chapel Road, Grain - to be closed to all vehicular traffic in Grain Road (B2001) from the junction with Chapel Road for a distance of 150 metres in a westerly direction and 50 metres in a northerly direction; and in Chapel Road from the junction with Grain Road for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed as the works progress.
This order will come into force on Tuesday, 20 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 20 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day (with works taking place between 8am and 5pm). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

DELCE ROAD AND THE CUT, ROCHESTER
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing to be carried out -
Delce Road and The Cut, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Delce Road between the junction with Star Hill and the junction with King Street and (b) in The Cut for the entire length. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed as the works progress. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Friday, 16 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 16 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within one night (with works taking place between 8pm and 6am). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

WAYFIELD ROAD, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing to be carried out -
Wayfield Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Eden Avenue and the junction with Aldershot Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
An alternative route will be provided and signed. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 21 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is then sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 21 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day (with works taking place between 8am and 5pm). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

TORONTO AVENUE, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main inspections to be carried out -
Toronto Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Toronto Road between the junction with Canadian Avenue and the junction with Gordon Road and (b) in Gordon Road from the junction with Toronto Road for a distance of 100 metres in a westerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Woodlands Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 12 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 12 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within three weeks. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs
are being displayed.

ST MARGARETS STREET, ROCHESTER
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the safe usage of a hoist during the installation of fibre optic cables -
St Margarets Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 52 and 54 St Margarets Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 28 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 28 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day (with works taking place between 9.30am and 3pm. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

SIDNEY ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply repairs to be carried out -
Sidney Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 44 Sidney Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Virginia Road, King William Road and Milburn Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 19 August 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 19 August 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are
being displayed.
