Fairmead Avenue, Temporary Prohibitions & Restrictions Due To Tree Felling Works
What is happening?
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, WAITING, UNLOADING AND LOADING, PARKING) (TTO2267) ORDER 2024 (FAIRMEAD AVENUE)
Notice is given that the Southend-on-Sea City Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above Order. The effects of the Order will be as follows:
that the Southend-on-Sea City Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above Order. The effects of the Order will be as follows:
1. Treefella Ltd will be carrying out essential tree felling works on Fairmead Avenue from its junction with London Road (A13) to its junction with Westborough Road.
2. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily:
a) ban vehicles from traffic or waiting (including waiting for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle) in Fairmead Avenue, from its junction with London Road (A13) to its junction with Westborough Road.
b) ban vehicles from parking in Fairmead Avenue.
3. Diversions will be as follows: London Road (A13), Hildaville Drive, Westborough Road, Southbourne Grove (A1158) and vice versa.
4. The Order and prohibitions will come into effect on 5th August 2024 works are expected to be complete on 5th August 2024. However, this Order may continue in force for a maximum of 18 months to allow for unexpected events/delays and possible remedial works. The restrictions within this Order will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs.
5. The prohibitions described above would only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of the appropriate traffic signs. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a penalty charge notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004 The prohibitions will not apply to:
a) Anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform, or a police community support officer (PCSO);
b) Any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposed;
c) Any official vehicle or person in connection with the works.
