Various Roads In Slaithwaite - Providing On-Street Parking Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions

What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROVIDING ON-STREET PARKING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS AND MIGRATION TO A ‘MAP-BASED’ FORMAT) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT NO. 7) ORDER 2024
VARIOUS ROADS IN SLAITHWAITE

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Slaithwaite area of the Kirklees district, will be to:
(i) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time on lengths of the following roads:-
1. Nabbs Lane, Slaithwaite
2. Bank Gate Slaithwaite
3. Church Street, Slaithwaite
4. Bridge Street, Slaithwaite
5. New Street, Slaithwaite
6. Platt Lane, Slaithwaite
7. London Road, Slaithwaite
8. Spa Fields, Slaithwaite
(ii) Prohibit the loading and unloading of of vehicles between the hours of 07:00 – 10:00 & 16:00 – 19:00 (on all days except bank holidays) on a length of Church Street, Slaithwaite
(iii) Prohibit the waiting or loading and unloading of vehicles at any time on lengths of the following roads:-
1. Nabbs Lane, Slaithwaite
2. Bank Gate Slaithwaite
(iv) Introduce free parking places, with a maximum stay of 4 hours (with no return within 1 hour) between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00, on lengths of Bridge Street, Slaithwaite
(v) Introduce permit holder parking places on lengths of Bridge Street, Slaithwaite
(vi) Modify the existing No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Old Bank, Slaithwaite
