Brighton & Hove, Amendments To Parking Restrictions In Various Zones

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 31 July 2024 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when they come into operation on 5 August 2024 will introduce various changes to the waiting or parking restrictions in the part or parts of the roads identified:

Modifications

Some changes to the orders as originally proposed and advertised on 7 June 2024 are as follows:-

Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2024 Amendment Order No.5 2024

• Proposed removal of disabled parking bay opposite No.121 Maresfield Road - This has been withdrawn from the order.

• Proposed change from permit bays to shared parking bays in Lucerne Road - This has been withdrawn from the order.

• Proposed removal of motorcycle bay in Havelock Road - This has been withdrawn from the order.

• Proposed removal of disabled parking bay outside No.3 Connaught Road - This has been withdrawn from the order.

• Proposed removal of disabled parking bay outside No.122 Shirley Street - This has been withdrawn from the order.

A copy of this Notice, the Orders as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros. Any person who wishes to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any of its or their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
