Alfreton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Carry Out Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, ASHFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (A24-086)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hucknall, Kirkby in Ashfield and Selston in the District of Ashfield The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Byron Street, Hucknall - From its junction with Croft Avenue to its junction with Park Drive.
b. Park Drive, Hucknall - From its junction with Broomhill Road to its junction with Beardall Street
c. Whyburn Lane, Hucknall - From its junction with Common Lane in a westerly direction for 200 metres
d. Caddaw Avenue, Hucknall - From its junction with Park Drive to its junction with Versailles Gardens
e. Sutton Middle Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield - For its entire length
f. Crescent Road, Selston - From its junction with Selston Road to its junction with B600 Alfreton Road
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Byron Street, Hucknall - From its junction with Croft Avenue to its junction with Park Drive.
b. Park Drive, Hucknall - From its junction with Broomhill Road to its junction with Beardall Street
c. Whyburn Lane, Hucknall - From its junction with Common Lane in a westerly direction for 200 metres Corporate Director - Place
d. Caddaw Avenue, Hucknall - From its junction with Park Drive to its junction with Versailles Gardens
e. Sutton Middle Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield - For its entire length
f. Crescent Road, Selston - From its junction with Selston Road to its junction with B600 Alfreton Road
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
Byron Street, Hucknall - From Monday 5th Aug until Thursday 8th Aug 2024. 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours daily.
Park Drive, Hucknall - From Thursday 22nd August until Monday 2nd Sept. 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours daily Weekdays only.
Whyburn Lane, Hucknall - From Tuesday 3rd Sept until Wednesday 11th Sept. 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours daily Weekdays only.
Caddaw Avenue, Hucknall - From Thursday 12th Sept until Friday 13th Sept 2024 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours daily
Sutton Middle Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield - Friday 25th Oct until Friday 1st Nov 2024 09:00 hours until 15:30 hours only
Crescent Road, Selston - From Thursday 21st Nov until Friday 29th Nov 2024. 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours Weekdays only
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Byron Street, Hucknall - Byron Street - Croft Avenue - Beardall Street - Park Drive - Storth Avenue - Croft Avenue and vice versa
Park Drive, Hucknall - Park Drive - Farleys Lane - Watnall Road - Titchfield Terrace - Duke Street - Beardall Street - Park Drive and vice versa
Whyburn Lane, Hucknall - No diversion available Caddaw Avenue, Hucknall - Cassaw Avenue - Croft Avenue - Storth Avenue - Park Drive - Caddaw Avenue and vice versa
Sutton Middle Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield - Sutton Middle Lane - Rowan Drive - Southwell Lane - The Hill - Greenwood Drive - Banks Avenue - Sycamore Avenue - Willow Avenue and vice versa
Crescent Road, Selston - Crescent Road - Alfreton Road - Langton Hollow - Crescent Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 5th August 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
