NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT No 69) ORDER 2024 (PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING AT ANY TIME) (PHOENIX PARK ROAD) ORDER 2024 (NOTICE OF INTENTION TO INSTALL RAISED TABLES, AND EXTEND RAISED TABLE) (PHOENIX PARK ROAD) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Newport City Council of the Civic Centre, Newport, South Wales, NP20 4UR (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, intends to make an Order to come into operation on 19th August 2024, which will have the following effect on the lengths of roads identified in the schedules below:
• Schedule 1 - Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time • Schedule 2 - Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading at Any Time • Schedule 3 - Limited Waiting • Schedule 4 - Amendment to Residents Parking Bays • Schedule 5 - Designation of Disabled Persons Parking Places at Any Time • Schedule 6 - Revocation of Orders • Schedule 7 - Removal of Limited Waiting • Schedule 8 - Removal of Disabled Bay • Schedule 9 - Removal of Residents’ Parking
The Council also gives notice that the raised table extension will be installed on the following length of roads:
Phoenix Park Road: Extension of the existing table 5 meters either side of the current raised table location adjacent to the junction with Apple Pie Avenue.
A copy of the proposed Orders, together with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Orders, may be inspected during normal office hours at the main reception desk of the Civic Centre, Newport or the City Council’s website (www.newport.gov.uk). Any objections to the proposed Orders, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent to the Head of Law and Standards, Newport City Council, Civic Centre, Newport NP20 4UR or by email to [email protected] not later than the 29th of July 2024.
