BOROUGH OF TRAFFORD (CENTRAL WAY, GREENWOOD STREET, POTT STREET AND SHAWS ROAD, ALTRINCHAM)(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)(TEMPORARY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in order to maintain public safety during periods of high footfall, Trafford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit driving, except emergency services and statutory undertakers’ vehicles (in case of emergency) on the days and during the hours stated:
Tuesday and Bank Holidays 10am - 4pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm, 5pm to Midnight, Midnight to 1.30am the following morning
Central Way - from its junction with Shaws Road to a point 115 metres north of its junction with Regent Road
Greenwood Street - from its junction with Shaws Road to a point 59 metres north of its junction with Regent Road
Pott Street - its entire length
Shaws Road - its entire length
Each of the road closures will be self-enforcing by the raising of bollards.
The existing Orders will be temporarily suspended, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road stated above, on the days and during the hours stated for the duration of this Order:
The Order will come into operation on 9th August 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months.
