Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A274 MAIDSTONE ROAD, SUTTON VALENCE, ME17 3LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A274 Maidstone Road, Sutton Valence, on or after 31st August 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chartway Street and The Oaks. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 North Street, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 Headcorn Road, New Barn Road, Hawkenbury Road, Headcorn Road, A229 High Street, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road, A274 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
B2010 YALDING HILL, YALDING, ME15 0PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 Yalding Hill, Yalding, on or after 16th August 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junctions of Small Profits to Kenward Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2015 Bow Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, Old Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Smiths Hill.

GREEN LANE, BOUGHTON MONCHELSEA, ME17 4JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 28th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Alpha Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Church Street, B2163 Heath Road, Gandys Lane, Brishing Lane and vice versa.
JAMES STREET, MAIDSTONE, ME14 2TH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow signal loop replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of James Street, Maidstone, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Quarry Square and Boxley Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via James Street, Wheeler Street, Grecian Street, Boxley Road and vice versa.
LENHAM ROAD, PLATTS HEATH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Platts Heath, on or after 16th August 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Runham Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road, East Street, A20 Ashford Road, Chegworth Road, Lenham Road and vice versa.
RICHMOND WAY, MAIDSTONE RICHMOND WAY, MAIDSTONE, ME15 6DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Richmond Way, Maidstone, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between No. 1 and 9. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Richmond Way, Regent Drive, Broadoak Avenue and vice versa.
SUMMERHILL, HEADCORN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Summerhill, Headcorn, on or after 15th August 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Summer Hill House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Summerhill, Moat Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, New Barn Road, Four Oaks Road, Plumtree Road, Four Oaks Road Summerhill and vice versa.
SUTTON ROAD ACCESS ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME15 9BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sutton Road Access Road, Maidstone, on or after 13th August 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 48 on the access road section. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nottingham Avenue, A274 Sutton Road, Sutton Road and vice versa.
THE STREET, WORMSHILL, ME9 0TT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow signing and lining works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Wormshill, on or after 30th August 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Bedmonton and Ringlestone Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ringlestone Road, Syndale Bottom Road, Lords Hill, The Street, Twin Hills Lane, The Street and vice versa.
WEST STREET, HUNTON, ME15 0RY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Street, Hunton, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Smithfield House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Street, Hunton Hill, Upper Hunton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Yalding Hill, Vicarage Road, West Street and vice versa.
