Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

ESSEX ROAD, GRAVESEND, DA11 0SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Essex Road, Gravesend, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 7.

The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, B261 Old Road West, Darnley Road and vice versa.

FORGE LANE, HIGHAM, ME3 7AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a sewer connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Higham, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 55.

The alternative route is via A226 Gravesend Road, A289 Wainscott By Pass, B2000 Lower Rochester Road, Lower Rochester Road, Chequers Street, School Lane and vice versa.

GREEN LANE, MEOPHAM, DA13 0JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Meopham, on or after 26th August 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Corner Ways.

The alternative route is via Green Lane, Camer Park Road, Foxendown Lane, The Street, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.

LEITH PARK ROAD, GRAVESEND, DA12 1LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leith Park Road, Gravesend, on or after 28th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Spring Grove

The alternative route is via Spring Grove, B261 Old Road East, Parrock Road, Leith Park Road and vice versa.

MELLIKER LANE, MEOPHAM, DA13 0JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Melliker Lane, Meopham, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Home Acre.

The alternative route is via Melliker Lane, B260 Longfield Road, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.

PEAR TREE LANE, SHORNE, ME3 7DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A226 Gravesend Road.

The alternative route is via Tanyard Hill, The Street, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.
