What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (FAKENHAM, WELLS ROAD AND A148 ROUNDABOUT) PROPOSED TRAFFIC ORDERS, SHARED USE AND CYCLEWAY NOTICE 2024

The Norfolk County Council propose to make the following Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be as follows:

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (FAKENHAM, WELLS ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY) ORDER 2024

The effect of this Order would be to prevent any vehicle, other than an Agricultural vehicle, from exiting the A148 Roundabout into the U14049 Wells Road.

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (FAKENHAM, WATERMOOR LANE) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024

The effect of this Order would be to prevent any vehicle from driving along the U14049 Watermoor Lane from its junction with the A148 Fakenham Bypass southwards to a point 300m southwards.

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (FAKENHAM, A148 ROUNDABOUT SCHEME) FOOTWAY CONSTRUCTION, CYCLEWAY/FOOTWAY AND CYCLE LANE NOTICE 2024

The Norfolk County Council is proposing to construct a Shared Use Cycleway/ Footway and a Cycle Lane under Sections 65 (1) and Section 66 (1) of the Highways Act 1980 to accord with its duties under Section 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 at the following locations: -Construction of new Shared Use Footway/Cycle Track along the A148 Fakenham Bypass following the roundabout and continuing southwards on to the proposed spine road; and Construction of new Cycleway facility along the U14049 Wells Road from its junction with the A148 Fakenham Bypass running northwest for 575m. A copy of the draft Orders, a plan, Statement of Reasons for making the Orders may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/.

Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of the North Norfolk District Council, Council Offices, Holt Road, Cromer, Norfolk, during normal office hours. However, in house staffing levels may have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended. Any objections and representations relating to the Order or comments in respect of the shared use facility or cycleway must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made.
