Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
CHURCH HILL, SHEPHERDSWELL, CT15 7NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill, Shepherdswell, on or after 26th August 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 6 to the junction of Eythorne Road, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Eythorne Road, Shepherdswell Road, Shooters Hill, Chapel Hill, Coldred Road, Church Road, Coldred Road, Church Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
ELLENS ROAD, DEAL, CT14 9JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ellens Road, Deal, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Mongeham Road and Cross Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ellens Road, Mongeham Road, St Richards Road, Cross Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
KING STREET, SANDWICH, CT13 9BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Street, Sandwich, on or after 28th August 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 33 to number 37, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Short Street, High Street and The Chain.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
MILL LANE & FISHMONGERS LANE, DOVER, CT16 1JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow excavation works to be carried out, on behalf of Dover District Council, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane & Fishmongers Lane, Dover, on or after 26th August 2024 for up to 552 days or until the works have been completed.
Mill Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 Townwall Street and Fishmongers Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Fishmongers Lane will be closed between the junctions Mill Lane and King Street. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic from Mill Lane is via A20 Townwall Street, A256 Woolcomber Street, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Castle Street, Market Square and King Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
NORTHWALL ROAD, DEAL, CT14 6FL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northwall Road, Deal, on or after 31st August 2024 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the level crossing to Golf Road, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only, in 3 phases as detailed below:
Phase 1 - Northwall Road will be closed from 31st August 2024, with estimated completion by 1st September 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Phase 2 - Northwall Road will be closed from 7th September 2024, with estimated completion by 8th September 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Phase 3 - Northwall Road will be closed from 14th September 2024, with estimated completion by 15th September 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
STATENBOROUGH LANE, EASTRY, CT13 0DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Statenborough Lane, Eastry, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Sandwich Road to Thatched Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, Statenborough Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
THE STREET, EYTHORNE, CT15 4BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Eythorne, on or after 27th August 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Hill and Kennel Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Kennel Hill, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, Barville Road, Sandwich Road, Chapel Hill and The Street.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via The Street, Chapel Hill, Sandwich Road, Barville Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass and Kennel Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
