What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

A226 THAMES WAY, GRAVESEND, DA10 1EB (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

For the safety of the public and workforce during footway reconstruction works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30mph to be imposed on a section of A226 Thames Way, Gravesend from 27th August 2024, with estimated completion by 16th September 2024.

The 30mph speed limit will be on the Ebbsfleet section of the road.

SPITAL STREET, DARTFORD, DA1 2ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & REVERSE ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of regeneration works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spital Street, Dartford, on or after 27th August 2024 until 31st March 2025 or until the works have been completed. The One Way will be reversed between Highfield Road and Kent Road only, to allow access.

The road will be closed at junction of Highfield Road.

The alternative route is via Spital Street, Hythe Street, A226 Home Gardens/Westgate Road/Highfield Road North and vice versa.
