Portsmouth - Multiple Parking Places And Waiting Restrictions Notices

What is happening?

THE PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (P015) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Portsmouth City Council made the above Order on 30 July 2024. The effect of the Order will be to:
1. To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions in the following lengths of road:
CLEGG ROAD ACCESS ROAD (serving Nos. 143 - 165 Highland Road) - both sides, from its junction with Clegg Road eastwards to its eastern closed end
COURT LANE - east side, from a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Court Mead northwards to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Court Mead
COURT MEAD - both sides, from the eastern kerbline of Court Lane eastwards for 10 metres
MEDINA ROAD - south side, from a point 27 metres west of Blackwater Close in a westerly direction, for a distance of 12 metres
MELLOR CLOSE - both sides, from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Rochford Road, for a distance of 10 metres
ROCHFORD ROAD - north side, from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline to 10 metres west of the western kerbline of Mellor Close, for a distance of 10 metres westwards
TOTTENHAM ROAD - east side, from a point 11 metres south of the boundary between No 41 and 43 Tottenham Road, for a distance of 17 metres southwards
2. To reduce waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road
VECTIS WAY - north side, from its western closed end (to match what is on the road)
3. To amend waiting restrictions including parking bays on the following lengths of road :
EXETER ROAD - west side, to reduce the length of parking bay, located adjacent to 5 Festing Grove, to accommodate the installation of a dropped kerb
EXMOUTH ROAD - Residents Parking Places (MD Zone) 4:30pm - 6:30pm, west side, to extend the parking bay outside Nos 1-8 Elizabeth Row by 36 metres
RINGWOOD ROAD - Residents Parking Places (MH Zone) 6pm - 8pm, east side, to reduce the length of parking bay, from a point 22 metres south of its junction with Bransbury Road for a distance of 6 metres, in a southerly direction to accommodate the installation of a dropped kerb
VECTIS WAY - Blue Badge Holders Parking Places, north side, to introduce a parking place for Blue Badge Holders from a point 22 metres west of the western kerbline of Wootton Street, for a distance of 14 metres in a westerly direction (to match what is on the road)
4. Copies of the Order, Statement of Reasons and Plans are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search "Traffic Regulation Orders 2024" at www.portsmouth.gov.uk. Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 02392 688501.
5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
6. This Order comes into operation on 5 August 2024.
