(West Hoathly: Church Hill)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Church Hill in West Hoathly, from a point 50m east of North Lane, north-eastwards for 55m. The road closure is needed to allow carriageway drainage works to be carried out in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 5 August 2024 and remain in force until 30 August 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Hassocks: Public Footpath 5K) (Temporary Closure No.2) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 5K in Hassocks, from its junction with London Road, eastwards to its junction with Public Footpath 11K.

The closure of this route is needed to maintain public safety while a property development is constructed on adjacent land. The Order extends the operation of a previous closure Order and will come into effect on 5 August 2024 and remain in force for 6 months.

Unfortunately, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network during these works.
