ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

PROPOSED NEW PUFFIN CROSSING - A6044 SHEEPFOOT LANE – PRESTWICH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police for Greater Manchester, proposes to install a Puffin Crossing at the following location not less than 28 days from the date of this notice.

A6044 Sheepfoot Lane - Prestwich- Puffin Crossing - near to the junction of Meade Hill Road

A copy of the proposals, a plan showing the location of the proposed Puffin Crossing and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the proposal may be requested by email at traffic.calming@bury.gov.uk quoting reference PC/96.

All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to the Traffic Team, Bury Council, Bradley Fold depot, 34, Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, Radcliffe, Bury, BL2 6RS or preferably by email to TROobjections@bury.gov.uk quoting any of the PC reference above by 29th August 2024.

Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
