U6701 Wansbeck Road and U6503 Dene View - Temporary Road Closure

U6701 WANSBECK ROAD, U6503 DENE VIEW /
WANSBECK BACK LANE, WANSBECK BACK LANE, ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6701 Wansbeck Road for it’s entire length (“Road One”) and the U6503 Dene View/Wansbeck Road Back Lane from it’s point at the gable end of no. 30 Wansbeck Road heading west for a distance of 75 metres, the U6503 Dene View/Wansbeck Road Back Lane from it’s point at the gable end of no. 74 Wansbeck Road heading west for a distance of 75 metres, the U6503 Wansbeck Road Back Lane from it’s point at the gable end of no. 106 Wansbeck Road heading west for a distance of 75 metres and the U6503 Dene View/Wansbeck Road Back Lane from it’s point at the gable end of no. 130 Wansbeck Road heading west for a distance of 75 metres (“Roads Two”) in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th August 2024 until the 30th September 2024.
It is expected that the works will commence on the 13th August 2024 and are likely to conclude on the 2nd September 2024 but will remain in place until 30th September 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic in respect of Road One will be via Green Lane, North Seaton Road, Rotary Parkway and Booths Road. The alternative route for vehicular traffic in respect of Roads Two will be via the U6503 Wansbeck Road Back Lane.

The closure has been requested by United Living Infrastructure Services, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads namely to install a new water mains pipe, chlorinate, pressure test, backfill and reinstate excavation. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly
