What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
U9537 PROSPECT AVENUE, DELAVAL AVENUE SEATON DELAVAL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Seaton Delaval in the County of Northumberland:-
U9537 Prospect Avenue from its junction with Avenue Road heading westwards for a distance of 25 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Delaval Avenue, Glanton Avenue.
U9537 Delaval Avenue from its junction with Avenue Road heading westwards for a distance of 20 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Prospect Avenue, Glanton Avenue.
The Order is to be effective from the 12th August 2024 until the 12th February 2025.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed on the 12th August 2024 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th February 2025.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete carriageway resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
