Clacton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Clacton Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.97) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 5th August 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CLACTON ROAD
From its junction with Wymering Lane to Hadleigh Road on both sides.
ROCHFORD ROAD
From its junction with Clacton Road to outside No. 29.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 5th August 2024 to 11th September 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in 30 metre sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
