What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Pitcroft Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (Temporary Suspension of One Way) (No.98) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th August 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
PITCROFT ROAD
From outside No. 65 to its junction with Grange Road.
B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY
PITCROFT ROAD

From its junction with Stamshaw Road to outside No. 65 Pitcroft Road.
GRANGE ROAD
From its junction with Pitcroft Road to Derby Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works to replace pole.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 08:30 to 15:30 on 6th August 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Stamshaw Road, Rudmore Roundabout, Kingston Crescent, London Road, Derby Road, Grange Road.
Resident access and egress will be maintained by marshal control.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
