NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• A road closure in that length of A36 Claverton Street, Widcombe, Bath from its junction with Claverton Street extending west to its junction with Lyncombe Hill. USRN: 47900008.

• A suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight limit along the lengths of Prior Park Road, Ralph Allen Drive, North Road and Bradford Road, to allow vehicles to travel along these roads as part of the diversion route.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to repair a defective patch in the carriageway on the 4th August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:00 - 16:00hrs only.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Claverton Street – A3062 Prior Park Road/Ralph Allen Drive – A3062 North Road/Bradford Road/Frome Road – A367 Wellsway/Wells Road – A36 Lower Bristol Road/Rossiter Road.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable contractors to carry out trackwork to extend VM02 network including tobies and chambers from the 5th August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months.
