THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (NEWARK-ON-TRENT, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an Order on the A1, at Newark-on-Trent, in the County of
Nottinghamshire, because of likelihood of damage to the public due to serious damage to the road. The effect of the Order will be to continue to close the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A1, approximately 380 metres southeast of its junction with the slip road leading from the roundabout junction with the A46 and A17, at Newark-on-Trent.
The layby will be closed for twenty-four hours per day. The Order will come into force at 12:00 hours on Tuesday 6th August 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure. THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (CATTLE MARKET ROUNDABOUT, NEWARK-ON-TRENT, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no.9346363) intends to make an order on the A46 Trunk Road, at Newark-on-Trent, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to allow electronic traffic detector system repairs to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to close the southbound carriageway of the A46 between points 282 metres and 69 metres east of its roundabout junction with the A616, the B6326 and the A617 (Cattle Market Roundabout), at Newark-on-Trent, and allow traffic
to use lane 2 of the northbound carriageway in a contraflow manner. The closure is expected to be carried out over one night between 20:00 hours and 23:59 hours and is expected to start on Wednesday 28 August 2024. The Order will come into force on 21 August 2024. Vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
