Northumberland, Temporary Road closure Due To Structural Patching Works
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) C345 FURZE HILL TO WOOD HILL PONTELAND / C345 MEDBURN JUNCTION TO BLACK HEDDON JUNCTION MEDBURN (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Medburn in the County of Northumberland.
- C345 Furze Hill To Wood Hill for its entire length
- C345 Medburn Junction to Black Heddon Junction from its junction with The Nursery heading south for a length of 100 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 5th August 2024 until the 31st January 2025. It is expected that the roads will only be closed on the 7th August 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 17:00; however, the order will remain in place until 31st January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C345, C344, C343 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for structural patching. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
