What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(MARCHMONT CRESCENT – SOUTHERN SECTION)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/89

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate sewer installation works, no person shall:

(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; &

(b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of Marchmont Cres, from the southern kerbline of Roseneath Pl, southwards to its jnct with Marchmont Rd.

Existing restrictions may be suspended on the affected section of road described in (b). The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (1) Chalmers Cres, Beaufort Rd & Marchmont Rd; or (2) Chalmers Cres, Argyle Pl, Melville Drv & Marchmont Rd. The order shall have effect from 5/8/24 to 20/12/24.
