(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Birdbrook in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 75m south west of its junction with Fell Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164283177/FH – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Chapel End Way, Mill Road, Wesley End Road, Stambourne Road, Drury Lane, Chapel Road, The Causeway, Four Ash Hill, Ridgewell Road, Baythorne End, Sturmer Road, Boreham Place, New England Road, Fell Road and vice versa (with access only into The Street, Finkle Green and Birdbrook Road).
The Order came into effect on 19th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
