CAMBRIDGESHIRE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC multiple notices

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Whiteway Drove, Swaffham Prior
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1032
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whiteway Drove, Swaffham Prior as lies between Slade Farm to Headlake Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Headlake Drove (C214) – Great Drove (C214) – Prior Fen – Upware, Upware – A1123 – A142 – B1102 – Cage Hill, Swaffham Prior – High Street – Station Road – Whiteway Drove and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are
being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 5 August 2024.

Abbey Lane, Swaffham Bulbeck
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1037
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Abbey Lane, Swaffham Bulbeck as lies between number 104 and Commercial End. The alternative route for vehicles is via Commercial End. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water disconnection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs to 13:00hrs 2 August 2024.

Cheveley Road, Woodditton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1048
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cheveley Road, Woodditton as lies between number 8 and Whitecroft Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via Kirtling Road – Newmarket Road, Kirtling – Upend Road – Upend – Upend Road, Ashley – Broad Green – Broad Green, Cheveley – Saxon Street Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 August and 8 August 2024.

The Street, Kirtling (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1087
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Street, Kirtling as lies between numbers 212 and 220. The alternative route for vehicles is via Malting End – Mill Road – Cowlinge Road – Newmarket Road – The Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and
12 August 2024.

A11 Through J14 NE, East Cambridgeshire
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1147
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along A11 Through J14 NE, East Cambridgeshire as lies between the B1506 and the A11. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1303 – A142 – A14 – A11 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs 1 August to 30 August 2024. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
